Dance Classes at the Laurelhurst Club
The Laurelhurst Club offers dance classes in a diversity of styles and for all skill levels. Whatever your fancy, we'll help you look fancy on the dance floor in no time flat.
Our instructor, Rachel Lidskog, is known for her joyful teaching style. Choose one class or stay for all three. Singles, couples, and all ages are welcome.
Find lessons in Waltz, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Salsa, Cha-Cha, Foxtrot, and Tango, Monday evenings throughout the year.

Adult Ballroom: Ten Weeks- Mondays began January 11th but
don't be afraid to join us now, Rachel will make sure you catch up.
7:00 to 8:00 Ballroom Sampler- Eastcoast Swing, Waltz and Foxtrot Get ready for those Parties, weddings or romantic nights on the town. Beginners and those seeking to brush up will both love it
8:00-9:00 Swing Jubilee of Fun Patterns from all your favorite Swing dances: East Coast, Lindy Hop, Charleston and Balboa
Best if you have had some experince with one or more of these
$100 per person for series ($10 per class) or $180 per person for two classes. ($9/person/per class)
Drop ins are $15 per class.

Whether you are new to the world of dance, or a returning student, something will be taught for everyone. Our instructor, Rachel Lidskog, is known for her joyful teaching style. Choose one class or more. Singles, couples, and all ages are welcome.
If five or more couples request it, child care for 5 to 12 year olds can be provided at a nominal fee.

Our Dance Instructor
A professional dancer, singer, and choreographer, Rachel Lidskog has been teaching dance as a certified dance professional since 1989. Her Ballroom Dancing career began during her second year of college, as a part-time job/ apprenticeship with Arthur Murray Dance Studios, while attending Lewis and Clark College.
Known for her joy in teaching and her great versatility of styles, Rachel's dance knowledge includes a broad repertoire: All the Ballroom dances (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quick-step, Viennese Waltz, Rumba, Samba, Cha-Cha, Bolero, Jive), Country Western, Swing Dance (East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Lindy-Hop, Charleston, Balboa, Nightclub 2-step & Hustle), Latin Dance (Salsa, Merenge, Cumbia, Cuban Casino Rueda) and Argentine Tango.
