Design the Laurelhurst Club all your own. Portland, Oregon’s premier event rental venue for weddings, receptions, meetings, retreats, fundraisers, reunions, parties, memorials, and other events. Enjoy the rustic charm of this historic property while you celebrate a special occasion that your guests will enjoy and remember for a lifetime.

The Laurelhurst Club is a DIY (do-it-yourself) venue that allows you to customize your event. You can make it as simple or as elaborate as you like. The club’s open floor plan allows for many different event configurations.

White folding chairs, round banquet tables, and rectangular tables are all included in your rental price.

You are not required to use any in-house services. A list of service providers who are familiar with the club is available on our Vendors page but you are free to use them or not. Bring in your own caterer or prepare your own food. Hire your own planner, DJ, florist, photographer, or do it all yourself. Our only requirement is that all alcoholic beverages must be served by persons with a valid OLCC service permit.

Weddings & Receptions

For outdoor wedding ceremonies, chairs may be placed outside for the wedding ceremony only, weather and grass conditions permitting, with the reception tables inside. For indoor wedding ceremonies, chairs are moved to the tables after ceremony and the ceremony space becomes the dance floor as chairs are cleared. We do not flip the room – the only thing that moves are the chairs.

A blank floor plan will be provided for you to sketch out your table/chair arrangement and will be due 1 week before your event.
High loft ceilings with exposed beams, ceiling fans, twinkle lights, dimmable globe lights, and mirror ball provide the ambiance for your event. Comfortable décor and open space make the venue a perfect backdrop for any occasion. The wood-paneled walls allow for your personalized colors and decorations to take center stage. The ballroom can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests seated at banquet tables.

Historic Ballroom. The Laurelhurst Club has an old world, yet comfortable, charm. The grand copper hood fireplace in the reception area creates a warm and welcoming space in all seasons. Featuring a majestic cathedral ceiling, beautiful 36′ x 62′ hardwood floor, and curtained stage, the historic ballroom is a versatile space for all types of events and set-up configurations.

The upstairs mezzanine can also convert to a charming bridal & bridesmaids changing room with a tall wardrobe hanger for your dresses, dressing table with makeup mirror, wide full-length mirror, comfortable sofa, cocktail tables, bar sinks, and lounging benches.

F.A.Q.

We only rent The Laurelhurst Club for one event per day. In order to confirm your reservation we require half of the rental fee and a signed contract. We accept checks, money orders, and credit cards. We do not accept cash.

There is ramp from the curb to the front door of the club. However, the facility is not completely ADA accessible.

If your event is booked more than 60 days in advance, we require half the total rental fee to be paid upon signing of the rental contract. The balance of your total rental fee is then due at least 60 days before your event. If your event is booked less than 60 days in advance, we require 100% of the total rental fee to be paid upon signing of the rental contract.
